Job Description

General Summary

The Vice President will lead & manage IT transformation program that will replace current legacy financial core receivable systems.  This individual will be managing various partners and resources ranging from; HCS, HAE, HCA & HAEA and professional services team members from solution partners vendors including offshore development teams. Will be responsible for project timeline and budget.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Lead multiple diverse project teams to replace Core Receivable system. Must be able to:


•       Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects


•       Decide on suitable strategies and objectives


•       Coordinate cross-project activities


•       Lead and evaluate project managers and other staff


•       Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities


•       Apply change, risk and resource management


•       Assume responsibility for the program’s people and vendors


•       Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI


•       Resolve projects’ higher scope issues


•       Prepare reports for program directors

Effectively communicate with Business and IT Leaders to provide regular project statuses, address raised issues in a timely fashion and ensure Change management is taking place.

Manage direct reports, coaching, ensure deadlines are met, development of team members, provide guidance and direction.

Budgeting, prepare justifications/ business case to gain approval for proposed projects.

All other duties as assigned.


Knowledge and Skills


•       Lead / Support several projects designed to replace Core Receivable systems


•       Experience managing complex programs and projects, with extensive experience in system conversions and vendor management


•       Oversee the RFP (Requests for Proposals) for external services / Manage agreed upon deliverables


•       Develop time lines and project plan that meets IT and business needs


•       Communicating Project Status / Risks to Executive Leadership


•       Undertakes creating strategies for contingency and risk mitigation plans


•       Control resources, budget and schedule for project and program implementation


•       Identifying and solving project issues effectively


•       Identifying and solving project issues effectively


•       Overseeing and directing the project teams and managing conflicts within the different projects


•       Oversee designing and maintaining project and technical documentation


•       Interact closely with technical teams throughout a project's lifecycle

 

Education and Experience


•       A total of 15 years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 10 years in a leadership role


•       Prior experience in a project development role including business process and system design and implementation utilizing project management methodologies and best practices.


•       Bachelor's degree.


•       Prior experience working in the automotive finance industry is preferred.

Physical Requirements and Working Condition

Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.
