General Summary:


As a Sr. Analyst, CoE Strategy & Planning III at Hyundai Capital America, you will apply critical thinking and analytical skills to solve complex business problems within the Operations division.  You will collaborate with a high performing team to develop and test new strategies, and come up with actionable recommendations to help improve the business.  In addition, the Sr. Analyst will be expected to manage qualitative and quantitative research techniques (primary and secondary research), competitive intelligence / benchmarking, and support other managers in the team on an ad hoc basis.

Essential Job Function:


•         Develop hypotheses to problem statements, test and analyze, come up with solutions, scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts and develop tracking mechanisms

•         Compile and Organize data by utilizing SAS, or SQL for the purpose of producing standard reports and/or ad hoc analysis

•         Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement; solve for them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations

•         Interface with colleagues and leaders across Hyundai Capital America and other business partners, including: Collections, Servicing, Remarketing, and Credit Operations to drive improvement in quality, service, and profitability

•         Assist competitor benchmarking activities for all operation functions to assist in the development of new and existing business initiatives

•         Prepare documentation and communication materials in support of Managers in team

Knowledge and Skills:


•         Strong track record of conceptual / critical thinking and problem solving based on analytic and quantitative framework

•         Able to utilize SAS/SQL or similar tools to extract data

•         Proficient in using MS Excel and Power Point, and other MS Office products

•         Solid oral and written communication skills, must be able to influence using intellect and strong interpersonal skills

•         Must be detailed-oriented, demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, have a positive attitude and a commitment to deliver quality analysis

•         Successful track record of thriving in a dynamic and fast paced environment

Education and Experience:


•      Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or related quantitative background required; Master’s degree a plus

•      Strong PC skills; SAS, SQL, Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Relational Database concept

•      One to three years of relevant experience in Operations Analytics, Risk Management or Finance within Financial Services or related work areas; Automotive Finance industry background a plus

Physical Requirements and Working Condition:

*Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.
