Job Description

The Regional Auction Manager will report into the Manager, Remarketing and is responsible for the asset disposal process for matured off lease and repossessed vehicles.  This process includes the grounding, consignment, transportation, reconditioning, ownership management and sale of the vehicle. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the oversight of the physical auction sales process. 

This position is remote based supporting the Greater Toronto Area.


•         Verifying vehicles are ready for sale including recon, ownership and legal status

•         Assigning unit for sale

•         Act as liaison support for auction sales events and remote representative for auction sale management

•         Regional dealer development on the grounding & upstream purchase process

•         Represent HCCA off-lease & repossessed inventory at live auction and remote/online sales

•         Implement post-sale reporting and develop auction scorecard

•         Design, implement and deliver dealer development materials in support of our off-lease sales strategy

•         Engage dealers in HCCA’s upstream sales platform and assist with grounding process

•         Develop and foster independent and franchise dealer relationships, building a loyal base of buyers.

•         Inspect physical inventory of vehicles, including looking for lot/transport damage, inspecting the quality of repairs, identify and problem areas with specific vehicle

•         Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred

•         5 years of auto remarketing industry experience related to retail and lease finance

•         High level of understanding of the automobile industry including the relationships of the automobile dealer, the auto auction and the relationship of the wholesale vehicle process as it applies to asset disposal

•         Ability to recognize vehicle conditions and related market pricing

•         Knowledge of automotive remarketing process including online, physical sales, and the lease end process

•         Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and Word 

•         Experience with Salesforce considered an asset

•         Ability to multi task and prioritize goals to meet business objectives
