Job Description

Summary:

The Manager, Operations Trainer I supports new hire training as well as ongoing training initiatives for Hyundai Capital America’s auto finance contact center including Credit and Funding as well as Operations Support positions. The trainer will be responsible for new hire and skill up training in addition to training and supporting new company initiatives, compliance and state by state regulations. The duty of this role includes assisting with the content design process and creating of training material as needed.  This position is a leadership role and is actively involved in supporting employee development while also supporting the Operations Center Management by identifying business process improvements, driving solutions and assisting with department planning.  

Essential functions of the position:

1.      Deliver operational and soft skills training content to operational staff using multiple delivery methods for successful knowledge and skills transfer.  Facilitate refresher and skill enhancement training as needed based on quality assurance results for system, policy and procedure and compliance regulation changes. Delivery includes planning, preparing and coordinating of training programs.

2.      Training design and delivery.

3.      Update training manuals, participant guides, instructor guides, quizzes, tests and training aids with new policies and procedures as required. 

4.      Create and maintain effective communication with Management, Credit and other departments to provide trainee feedback and contribute to supervisory coaching and mentoring. Provide subject matter expertise and guidance for the team and management.

Areas of expertise include:

a)      Policies & Procedures

b)      Marketing Bulletins and Programs

c)      Credit and Funding Processes

5.      Drive department improvements and improve business processes. Partner with Management in identifying and addressing key areas of opportunity for Training and employee development.

6.      Maintain training records. All other duties as assigned.

•         Solid decision-making ability and critical thinking skills


•         Ability to work effectively with many different groups as well as independently


•         Competency with classroom management


3 years of previous training/facilitation experience required

2 years Credit/Funding experience required (automotive preferred)

MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word experience required

Bachelor’s degree in training, teaching or related field preferred

Instructional design experience a plus

Physical Requirements and Working Condition (if applicable):

 

Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment
