Job Description

General Summary:


•         This position is responsible for supporting the creation, management, improvement and maintenance of HMF


•         subvention programs in order to maximize sales efficiency and meet other company objectives. The position requires


•         solid analytical skills and the ability to work under limited supervision in a team environment. The team member should


•         be able to work effectively with other functional areas, assisting the Product Development Sales Operations and OEM


•         teams to continuously improve products, programs, pricing and incentives. This position requires excellent


•         communication skills. The team member should have experience with financial forecasting models for a captive


•         finance company or other automotive lender.

Essential Job Function:


•         Generate, maintain and enhance Pricing for Subvention Programs:


•         Create pricing files for all subvention programs


•         Review pricing files with OEM Incentive team and facilitate program approval


•         Support Sales Operations team with program launch activities


•         Support the creation and launch of new incentive programs as needed


•         Serve as subject matter expert for IT related enhancements impacting incentive programs


•         Program Performance Reporting and Forecasting


•         Provide Penetration forecasts and Financial impact of Subvention programs (Cost per Unit,


•         overall cost, etc.) to both HCA and HMA accurately and timely


•         Identify areas of opportunity to enhance product and pricing capabilities & competitiveness


•         Develop a solid understanding of Captive and OEM strategy, business, and objectives. Understand


•         products, programs, pricing and incentives. Help to assess current effectiveness. Provide feedback


•         on how to optimize current programs in order to achieve company objective


•         Complete ad-hoc analyses, assignments and reporting as requested by management and/or


•         Executives


•         Perform all other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:


•         Strong analytical and execution skills complemented by problem solving skills


•         Knowledge of automotive industry and understanding of retail, lease and commercial financing


•         Solid written communication skills, must understand technical terms related to retail, lease, and commercial financing.


•         Must be able to communicate complex terms and concepts to management both visually (PowerPoint) and in writing


•         Exceptional attention to detail and quality


•         Strong orientation toward results coupled with reputation for integrity, creativity and good judgment


•         Expert skills with Access, Excel, SAS database, SQL and analysis tools


•         Must have the ability to challenge, when appropriate, existing practices


•         Experience with financial calculation and analytical frameworks to compare financial products and pricing


•         Ability to work in a dynamic environment with extended work hours


Education and Experience:


•         7 years of product development and pricing experience, preferably with an auto finance, mortgage, credit card or banking organization.


•         Captive auto finance experience preferred


•         Major consulting firm / auto industry experience a plus


•         Expert skill with PIN navigator/Explorer, Autocount preferred


•         Bachelor’s degree required. BA/BS Marketing / Sales Management / Business/Statistics (or equivalent work experience to substitute for education) from a highly rated school; Master's degree preferred

Physical Requirements and Working Condition:

 

*Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.

During month end sales closes, position may require alternative working hours to support sales close and launch
