Job Description

The Manager, Consumer Credit will report into the Director, Originations and is responsible for the overall national management of the consumer credit team.  They will provide leadership and oversight of tactical execution as well as establishing priorities and direction for all credit functions.  This individual will stand in for the Director when necessary and will ensure credit business activities and processes are efficient, results-oriented, and compliant with industry, legal and regulatory standards.  
  • Manage credit operations process
  • Ensure business activities are efficient, results-oriented, and compliant with industry, legal and regulatory standards
  • Analyze weaknesses and formulate strategies for improvements
  • Provide leadership to establish priorities and directions to achieve KPIs
  • Provide oversight and direction on credit initiatives to ensure strategic objectives are met in a timely manner
  • Stand-in for Director when appropriate
  • Independently lead large scale initiatives ensuring strategy and tactics align with organizational initiatives
  • Coordinate with sales and OEM offices to enhance operational effectiveness including dealer training needs and communication
  • Design and build tailored presentations for dealers who visit center as well as for team meetings

  • 6-8 years of auto finance / captive finance industry experience (Credit, Funding, Collections, etc.)
  • Minimum of 3 years consumer credit operations and management experience
  • Bachelors’ degree preferred
  • Subject matter expertise in Credit, Operations, Sales or other functional area
  • Proven experience in large scale underwriting environment
  • Extensive job knowledge of dealer processes and the indirect lending business
  • Commercial Credit experience preferred (financial statement analysis) 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work successfully with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to provide coaching and feedback in a constructive and structured manner
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Diligent and agile while working efficiently in a fast-paced, start-up environment
