Job Description

General Summary:
 
This role will work closely with Director, Business Strategy to develop long-range objectives and strategic plans for HCA by identifying strategic issues and/or opportunities that could affect future growth and profitability. This role will include responsibilities such as market surveillance, competitor benchmark, internal capability gap assessment and strategic initiatives development. These responsibilities will require strong problem solving skill, qualitative and quantitative research and analysis skills, and written/verbal communication skill. This role will run projects independently; therefore he or she should have project management skill and good interpersonal skill. This role will also develop presentations for senior executives. 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:         
1.            Provide short and long-term strategic recommendations to internal teams for new business opportunities: Define potential business models to employ and estimate opportunity size and profitability, also provide insightful qualitative analysis
2.            Perform best practices benchmarking studies by leveraging all available sources including internal/ public information and SME interviews, and provide valuable implications for HCA to close the gaps against best-in-class market players 
3.            Identify areas for improvement for HCA regarding both top and bottom lines by assessing any internal issues residing across the organization and proactively communicate strategic solutions to key stakeholders.   
4.            Lead and effectively manage strategy projects. Encourage all engaged teams actively to participate and collaborate in the projects and build constructive consensus aligning all participating teams.
5.            Effectively communicate to internal teams and executives on project key findings and recommendation in written and verbal communication formats.       

Job Requirements

Knowledge and Skills:
 
•             Advanced problem solving, decision making, written/verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
•             Experienced in long-term corporate/ business strategies
•             Prior experience managing competitive intelligence and best practice benchmark studies
•             Primary and secondary research techniques
•             Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
•             Project Management skills. Proven track record of leading or managing complex, cross-functional projects
•             Knowledge of Captive and/or Auto Financing is a plus
•             Bilingual (English & Korean) skill is a plus
Education and Experience
•             BS/BA required. Masters preferred in Business. 
•             6-8 years of experience in Corporate/Business Strategy, Strategic Planning in Sales & Marketing, Business Intelligence.
•             Management consulting experience is a plus. 
•             Financial Services and Captive experience is preferred
Physical Requirements and Working Condition
Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.
