Job Description

General Summary:
The Business Development Manager’s primary focus is to develop, implement, and expand, district sales initiatives and relationships with each business partner. Increasing HCA presence and support for standard and subvened retail, lease, and commercial products, to exceed annual sales objectives.
 
LOCATION: Kansas City, MO
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
 
Attain HCA goals within the assigned sales district in the following areas:
 
1. Retail
Standard Penetration
Subvention Penetration
Contract Mix/Contract-clean
 
2. Commercial
Acquisitions
Retention
 
3. Support OEM goals
Acquire Hyundai Gap Protection sales outlets
Endorse Certified Pre-Owned and used vehicle strategies
Promote OEM retail sales goals
 
4. Complete all required company training and certifications.
5. Prepare and present dealership portfolio results and program analysis
6. Provide competitive information and analysis, provide competitive recommendations
7. Develop and execute the district’s sales action plan in conjunction with the RFM, including prioritizing dealer contact activity within the district
8. Perform other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements

Knowledge and Skills:
• Ability to analyze difficult situations, respond quickly and logically to resolve issues amicably
• Broad, comprehensive, and working, social aptitude for computers, ever increasing skill sets
• Capacity to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, at all levels
• Penchant to gain cooperation and commitment from OEM partners, subordinates, and others
 
Education and Experience:
• 5 years, previous experience as a field sales representative in automotive finance, essential.
• Experience with captive finance company dedicated to specific OEM preferred.
• In depth knowledge of wholesale/commercial; knowledge, comprehension, and skill sets, required.
• BS/BA preferred for potential candidates.
Physical Requirements and Working Condition:
Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment. This position requires 75 percent travel.
