Job Description

General Summary:

The Manager, Collections Skip Administration II will manage and provide staff support for the Collections Skip Tracing team. Support may include; coaching for KPI, quality and productivity improvements; assistance and follow up with compliance and audit activities inclusive of various reporting and real time management responsibilities. The position will work with the Collections Director, Managers, MIS and other departments to maximize recoveries and assist in the planning and implementation of innovative skip tracing strategies and tactics.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Provide leadership and guidance for daily operational activities of the skip tracing team and Collections center

•    Coordinate and assist with developing strategies and tactics, setting up policies and procedures; training, hiring and developing the skip tracing team to enhance skip tracing activities, collections productivity and employee engagement.

•    Manage escalated calls as required, providing effective, courteous and professional assistance to customers with concerns and/or complaints.

•    Manage the Skip Tracing team’s QA, KPI coaching, and performance reporting to evaluate success and continuously provide recommendations and improvements to maximize skip tracing recoveries.  Continually acquire knowledge of the functions of the Skip Trace team to meet the goals and objectives of the Collections Department.

•    Evaluate and assist in the management of external vendors and in setting up analytics and reporting to evaluate success and determine skip tracing.

•    All other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:

•    Bilingual English/Spanish or English Korean highly desired

•    Extensive knowledge of consumer collection and skip tracing laws and regulations, including the FDCPA. Highly experienced in using skip tracing tools such as Accurint, LexisNexis, etc.

•    Working knowledge of call center technology, including Cisco and Verint. 

•    Strong written and verbal communication and problem solving skills.

•    Strong organizational and time management skills.

•    Proficient with MS Office applications including, but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

•    Ability to work well with others and produce constructive results.

•    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

•    6-8 years of skip tracing experience in a Collections environment.

•    Prior management experience required.

•    Auto Finance industry highly preferred
