Job Description

General Summary

The Business Development Manager’s primary focus is to utilize consultative selling skills to educate, motivate and train new and existing Hyundai or Kia dealerships in their assigned district to utilize Hyundai Motor Finance (HMF) or Kia Motors Finance (KMF) retail, lease, CPO and commercial financing programs (floor-plan, real-estate, working capital loans and sign loans) to achieve annual sales objectives and profitability goals.  The position is also responsible for the implementation and utilization of eContracting in their assigned district and acting as a liaison between dealers, the Consumer Credit Center and the OEM. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Motivate, educate and train new and existing Hyundai/Kia dealers to utilize HMF/KMF for indirect retail/ leasing, and CPO financing with a focus on retail growth and profitable dealer portfolio’s.

Sell the features and benefits of HMF Commercial Financing Programs to maintain current relationships, develop and conquest new Commercial portfolio targets while working to mitigate risk and maintain ROA targets.  Ability to provide competitive data feedback and creative solutions to management and HCA HQ.

Educate, enroll and implement eContracting at assigned dealers by partnering with DealerTrack (or other providers) , HQ and Consumer Credit personnel

Complete all required company training and certifications

Perform other duties as assigned by management

•       Effective communications skills

•       Must possess problem solving capabilities

Education and Experience

•       5 years, previous experience as a field sales representative in automotive finance is essential

•       Captive automotive finance experience dedicated to a specific OEM is preferred

•       Excellent sales presentation skills to educate and motivate dealer personnel

•       Financial statement analysis experience is preferred

•       BS/BA preferred

•       Ability to travel within the assigned district will be required

•       May require overnight travel

Physical Requirements and Working Condition

Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Overnight travel to region and headquarters will be required and may require air travel.
